ACI’s Basics of Construction Spanish program is a 6 week training program that can help you save lives, time and money by helping to bridge the communication gap between English and Spanish speaking workers. Class includes book.

Course Description:
Hispanic construction workers in the United States have increased drastically over the last two decades. Many times Project Managers, Foremen and Safety Directors are ill prepared to handle the language barrier. Poor communication on the jobsite can cost a company millions of dollars. If you want your jobsite and office to run smoothly, it’s important to communicate effectively with everyone of your team members.

This course curriculum will introduce and reinforce Spanish vocabulary and language structures that will enable participants to communicate with Spanish speaking workers. Participants will build workplace Spanish vocabulary and grammar/ syntax skills in class through interactive presentations, written and oral practice and instructor feedback.

This class will take place every Wednesday from 3:30pm-5:30pm for 6 weeks starting on February 19.

About the Instructor:
Kristin Moser is a fluent Spanish speaker and holds a BA in Spanish Literature and Language, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction and an MBA. She is experienced in bilingual education and project management and is a learning and development consultant for companies in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
